[[ Job Orientation Draws Near ]]

I cannot believe it! I am starting job orientation tomorrow! It is so hard to believe that quite soon I am going to be in the working world!! I'm not completely sure how I feel about it to tell you the truth. I guess I can say that I am nervous but yet...very excited at the same time.

I'm ready to start doing nursing things instead of sitting in a classroom studying books. I hate doing that! lol. I want to move around a bit do something...make the money...ya know? I have been given so much advice about the working world and money lately that I'm definitely keeping in mind & taking it to heart. I am definitely going to be wise with my money because before long I'm gonna be able to move out on my own...and to tell you the God's honest truth. I am excited about that. Not that I do not love my parents...because I DO...with ALL of my heart (after God) but I'm just want to when it's time...but not before then of course. I'm just ready to be able to feel that independence of not answering to anybody (but God) and working...doing what I want...when I want.

But anyways, I guess that's really all there is to say. I'll be sure to update tomorrow or Wednesday to let ya know how job orientation is going.

Much Love,

Christine

[[ Idol Gives Back ]]

Ok so I never usually post late in the night on my blog but I had nothing to post today & after watching tonights American Idol I do have a little bit more to say.

First off I just want to say...American Idol & Fox sure know how to scare the mess outta somebody!! Oh my goodness. I could not believe tonight's results they scared me so bad!! lol. If Jordin Sparks would of gone home...I would have been SOOOO upset. I'm serious. Because she is going to win in my opintion and if she would of stayed home and Chris would of stayed in real life...wow...that would of made no eartly sense! But thank God nobody went home!! Ha ha. So I need to just vote my head off again next week to save my faves from being in the bottom 3. That is all there is to it.

Also this Idol Gives Back show they did tonight was really great. All the money that came from last nights votes and tonights dontations is all going to such worthy causes. There are so many kids around the world and right here in a America that really need our help & all the stories really touched my heart. This is such a great thing that American Idol/Fox decided to do. The performances were great...I was especially touched by Josh Groban's performance of "You Lift Me Up" as he was backed up by the African children's choir. That was so touching.

Well, I guess that's about it...I'm tired and need to go to bed soon.

Have a great day!

[[ Arm Fracture ]]

Before I explain the title of my blog for today...let me rewind to yesterday at around 6:30 pm. Our local skating rink had a special skating event for one of the local elementary school...which most of my little cousins go to so they invited my brother to come along with them. I didn't go but I met them there & watched all the kids (and big kids aka "adults") skate for the last hour which can become quite entertaining. Well, sometime in the last 20 minutes of the skate session...by brother "N" was skating and a kid got in front of him suddenly and accidentally tripped him. So "N" falls forward on his hands and falls on top of his hand with his fist balled up.

He comes off the rink crying a little and complaining that his arm hurts really bad as he tells us the story....so my aunt immediately starts praying for it. After we got him some ice just in case it started swelling...but it didn't...thank God! Just touching the top his arm hurt...so we went about the rest of our night as usual...when we got up this morning...his wrist area & up his arm a little was swollen much more than it was so mom had him stay home from school so my grandma & I could take him to the doctor to get it checked.

So that's what we did & he got his 1st x-rays done. Come to find out...he had a very small fracture and so his doctor sent him to a bone specialist down the street from the doctor's office & sure enough he needed a cast...so he got a red one because that's mom's favorite color. Isn't he so sweet?? lol. So that's pretty much what we spent all morning.

Tonight gonna get to watch our men's softball team play. Can't wait...they haven't won any yet but I know they will. Besides they are still in their "grapefruit" game season where it's not counting yet...so...we'll see.

Have a good rest of your Monday!

[[ 2 Pieces of Great News ]]

Ok so...my 1st piece of great news is...I HAVE A JOB!!!! Yes, I officially been hired. I am so excited. I cannot believe that the real world is about to begin for me. It has all happened so very fast. Monday I went in for my interview & they offered me the job that same day. Tuesday, I call back to tell them I accept the job. Wednesday I got & open up a checking account so I can have my pay checks directly deposited. Today I go in and get a physical, drug screening, picture taken for my badge, & fill out tons of paper work. It was crazy...but it's giving me a little preview of what life is going to start being like for me. But I am very happy to know that I am officially employed. Orientation starts April 1st. I can't wait! =)

The 2nd piece of news is...Senjaya is OFF AMERICAN IDOL!!!! Praise the Lord. I'm sorry but I've been waiting for this day for a VERY long time. I did not know how I was going to take another week of competition with him in it. But now I can sit back & watch the show in peace now. It's pretty much anybody's game now. I'm rooting for Jordin & Blake all the way!! I couldn't believe Blake was in the bottom last week & I'm upset at myself because I did not vote at all this week but I definitely will be voting my head off next week...especially since it all goes to that charity for next weeks show. Well, I'm off. I just love having all this good news all in one week.

See ya! Btw, those in my Life Group if you see this before then, do not congratulate me until after I give it as a praise. Thanks! ;-)

[[ Job Offer ]]

Guess what? I went to my job interview this morning. Wow...I was so flippin' nervous but excited at the same time. I got in there and of course my mouth goes dry like it does everytime I do something nerve wracking. Ha ha...but I tried to relax...be myself...and answer the questions the best that I could so that they could see that I am someone they should definately hire into their facility.

So that is what I did...and I got a tour of the floor I would be working on and...they have offered me the job. I am doing some praying about it before I make a final decision & have to let them know my the end of the week. I may have my decision by Wednesday. I really like the job too...no big issues. If I understood them right I'd work 72 hours in a pay period...and the place has some good benefits so...we'll see.

If any of you are reading this and you are in the same Life Group as me at FLC...do not ruin it and say Congrats before I get to tell it as a praise on Thursday night...if I am able to come. ok? Thanks! ;-)

God bless you all,

Christine

[[ So, We Say Goodbye ]]

Last night we went to a "going away" party/cook-out for a guy at our church who played drums on the praise team & all that jazz. He has gotten a new job as a graphic designer in another state & is moving. We are going to miss him very much.

We ate hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, beans, chilis, cookies, whatever other cookout foods you can think of...we may have had it. It was so much fun sitting around, eating, and fellowship with a whole bunch of friends...not having to worry about anything else but having fun & enjoying each others company. The kids especially were a hoot! Ha ha!

It began to get just a little too chilly for our liking outside so we moved the party inside our Pastor's house where it was much...MUCH warmer. Guys played pool which I watch most of the time, women talked, men talked, watched TV or played Playstation...and the kids just ran around. After the noise died down a little...the women began playing Scategories, some kids slept, and others watched a movie...guys continued to play pool or playstation. It was fun...the whole night. I had some nice chats with a few people...1 in particular but it was all good & and alot of fun.

It was a nice party & I know the guy has got to feel loved & he needs to know that he will truly be missed around FLC.

We love ya Ben!!

God Bless,

Christine

[[ Where a Kid Can Be a Kid ]]

That's right...Chuck-E-Cheeses..."Where a kid, can be a kid". I guess that kind of gives y'all a clue of where I went today. =) It was fun too!! I've always enjoyed Chuck-e-cheese. Well, except for when I was a little girl and I was terrified of the big mouse!

Anyways, I had to babysit 2 of my little cousins today so we went with my Aunt, her kids (4 of them) & 2 kids she was babysitting to Chuck-E-Cheese today. So...we had a totaly of 8 kids & 2 adults. It was crazy!! But the kids were good. I bought 100 tokens for $12.50 for them which is a great deal (my aunt gave me the money for it) and 2 kids cups...and they would just come back and ask for more tokens whenever they needed & of course I too was a kid and played some games. Of course at the end...the kids traded in their tickets for little cheap toys that they are going to lose...but oh well...it makes them happy.

Afterwards we went to McDonalds for lunch...Thank God for the Dollar Menu. lol. So that has pretty much been my day. I have to get off here so I can go clean up my room. I may have a friend stay over tonight while her parents go out of town so it is essential.

By the way...GREAT news...I have a job interview on Monday with that local hospital. I can't belive it! It's finally happening lol. It's a BIG job too...7 to 7 shift Monday to Friday & every other weekend. Geeze, I'll go in and talk to them on Monday and see how it goes.

Below is a pic of me...that a little game machine sketched of me...ha ha too cute.

Much Love to you all,

-Christine

[[ Y.M.C.A!! ]]

Ok, so I do have alot more to type in today's entry than I did last night...so I hope I entertain you a little bit more this time around. Ha ha.

I met my aunt at her house around 11:00 this morning & we all went to the Y.M.C.A. ("We all" meaning my aunt, and her kids there are 3 of them plus 1 she was babysitting). While the kids stayed with the sitters they have there...my aunt, her friend, and I did some walking on the treadmills. I really needed it. It felt kind of good to work out...I need to start doing it again because once I'm motivated...I keep going but then eventually lose interest. Anyways, after about 30 or so minutes of that...the nursery was closed so we got all the kids & went swimming. It was really fun I must admit. It felt really good to go for a swim after all the sweating...and it was definately something that I needed because I haven't done anything like that in a long time. Afterwards we all went to McDonalds for icecream & french fries...which...defeated the whole purpose of the working out on the treadmills but oh well...lol.

I also have some GOOD news...I got a call today from a hospital that I submitted an application to...YESTERDAY! I couldn't believe it when I heard it on the answering machine. I applied for an opening on an Oncology unit at a local hospital here and...they called me back! I am so excited! I have to call him back tomorrow morning though because he was already out of the office by the time that I got the message. Wow...I'm so happy & I cannot wait until I find out what's going to happen with this. I'll keep you all posted.

God bless,

Christine

[[ Late Night Blogging ]]

Yes I know...I have not blogged in a while. It was either because I was too busy...forgot...or just plain didn't feel like it. But, there really hasn't been anything really that interesting to blog about to tell you the truth. Just days full of not much...or just busyness. Ugh!

I'm actually not even sure why I am doing this post...there is nothing to say. But I think maybe I'll have a little more to say tomorrow since I'm actually going somewhere to do something...maybe even post some pics...who knows?

Have a great night!

[[ Crazy Life ]]

Wow...life has been pretty crazy lately...and I could even go as far to say a roller coaster of emotions. Every time I turn around it seems like I have something else that I need to do & like there isn't enough hours in the day or something. I've been getting frustrated about the littlest & stupidest things & I do now know why. It's been a big problem for me lately & something God and I are trying to work on because I definitely cannot get rid of it alone as I have already discovered.

I guess busyness is something I'm going to have to get used to now though because once I get a job here soon...I'm sure that its...the business will start to pick up even more & it will something I will just have to grin & bear. I'm sure I'll get periods of rest...but not as much as I am used to or would like. Well, I guess it's just time to grow up and get into the real world because it sure is here and there is nothing I can do about.

Y'all have a great Wednesday!

[[ Busy Weekends ]]

Okay...so this past weekend was kinda busy for me in my opinion. I think I did alot more than I planned on doing. After that Job Fair on Saturday...I went up to dad's church (FLC) to meet a Josh because I was going to watching him do Media that night because I had recently got trained on how to do it so I went there about 1 hr & 15 minutes before church and helped him with setting that up and stuff. Which did not take much...then our real techie "Dale" comes in a while later to teach us something about a new piece of equipment and totally confuses me!! lol. But oh well, it's all good. Overall it was a fun night. Getting to sit up in the booth with Josh the whole night was pretty fun. He did the slides during praise & worship and then he let me do them during the sermon. =] Pretty cool. So of those of you who were there...did I do a good job? lol.
After church Dad & I went to a couples house to watch the basketball game that was during church time that they had recorded on their TIVO...twas' very fun.

Sunday I had to be at the church earlier because of the fact that it was my week to sing on the praise team. We got there and had practice which actually alot smoother than usual. To make a long story short...later on we had church & the worship was really good. The sermon was okay...I mean I got something out of it but it was a little hard to concentrate which I will not get into. After church I sat with Jessica outside a little and another girl talking about some concerns they had about youth group and stuff. Then I went home and got a phone call from my aunt to see if I could babysit for a few hours so I did.

After leaving there I had to stop by the church to get a house key from a couple at our church who is going on vacation for a week & I am feeding their dog and collecting their mail while they are gone. My brother was with me and I told him to say in the car while I ran in. Well, for some reason he decides that he needs to get out...and...accidently locks my keys in the car and...it was still running!! Oh boy...good thing I had an extra key at home because there was no way of getting in through the window or popping the lock. So, I called home and my step dad brought the extra key to me. The rest of the night was TV and relaxation because I was really tired.

I have a feeling that I have quite a busy week ahead of me so...I better get it started.

God Bless,

Christine
