[[ Busch Gardens ]]

Yesterday I went to Busch Gardens with the Young Adults group from my church (FLC baby!). We had a fun time. 8 of us went...including me.

They thought they could convince me to ride roller coasters but...they sure didn't. A guy named Zack & I sat out of everyone of them because we don't care for them too much. But I did ride all the other rides that we rode so it's all good.

The only bad thing about the whole day was that it was flippin' hot the whole day...we had sweat literally dripping off of us. It was miserable as we stood in the line for our last ride...Roman Rapids hoping that would cool us off. It seemed like we stood in that line for 4 hours even though we know it wasn't that long. By the end of the day I was so flippin' tired...sweaty...and had a big headache but the day was still overall fun. I'd just rather go when it's not so darn hot outside...ya know?

Well, I guess that's really it. So...I'll close. Have a great Wednesday!

[[ Guess Who's 20? ]]

You guessed it...me! Today is my 20th birthday! I can't believe it. 20 year seemed like an eternity when I was 5 years old...and I've made it & life is just beginning. I've had a great day today so far. Makin' a cake...taking pictures...and just relaxing. I needed this day off since I worked two 12 hour shifts over the weekend (Saturday & Sunday)...so I've been pretty pooped.

But yep...eatin dinner with the family tonight then maybe go watch the FLC Fireants play their last softball game before the tournament. We'll see. If I got...they better win in honor of my birthday! lol.

Have a great Monday!

[[ Off Orientation ]]

Guess what y'all?? I'm off of orientation officially starting tomorrow at work. I can't believe it. I guess this will really test to see if I am ready to be on my own and if I think I'm not after tomorrow I'll be honest with my manager and let me know. I can't believe it. Time has flown by so fast.

Well sorry to keep it so short but that's all I gotta say. Good night!

[[ Father's Day ]]

I am telling you...yesterday was actually a very good day for my father & I. We both really enjoyed it and I'm glad we got to spend the time that we did together. I love my father so much...if it weren't for him in my life and all the things he has taught me...I would not be the woman I am today. He has definitely made a huge contribution to the person that I am along with the other great role models in my life.

We started the morning off well...going to church together. What could be better? Ya know? Going to church, praising God, and learning more from His word together. Even though we didn't sit together because I was doing media...we were still there together experiencing God's presence in the same way and it was a good service I must admit.

After church, my friend Josh came over to our house & helped my dad with changing the oil in his car because he had some tools that my dad didn't have so...that was cool watching the men get sweaty and work. Ha ha. Then Josh hung out our house for a long while until it was time for us to go meet our family to eat at Outback Steakhouse which was quite good. I got the "Alice Springs Chicken" as always. I highly recommend it. It's delicious.

Ha ha...Josh texted me towards the end or our dinner...and we had told my family about him a few times...and now they want to meet him cuz my uncle says he needs the "O'Bey stamp of approval" lol. I thought it was funny. So Josh is probably going to come with us to our next family dinner...this oughta be interesting.

Well, that's about it. It's getting late & I need to go to bed. Work comes way too early in the morning.

God Bless you all!

[[ Evening Shift ]]

So...last night I work my 1st evening shift. Which is 3 pm to 11 pm. I must say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would. It was calm...but I had a great group of patients, I think that may have helped me out some. Because according to the other nurses...they aren't usually that calm. It's a good thing I'm a night owl though and was able to stay awake my whole shift. But I was very tired by the time I got outta there at 11:30.

I'm not really sure why they had me work evening shift last night but...all I can figure is that they wanted me to get the experience I suppose. Guess what though?? I found out that I am out of orientation & start working on my own on June 23rd!! I can't believe it...time has flown by so fast and I'm excited about it. I absolutely can't wait.

Well, that's it. I was off today so I'm chillin' out today & hoping to go Father's Day shopping tomorrow.

Have a blessed Thursday!

[[ Thank God for Nursing Students ]]

Nursing Students are the best!! I should know...I was one at one time. lol. The point of this is...all weekend and some today we had Nursing students on the floor...and on both Saturday & Sunday they had all of my patients to care for except for one. Wow...what a relief that was to my Orientation nursing & I. We didn't have to do a whole lot but of course till pass meds and help with treatments on the patient...but it let us have to do alot less paper work.

But it's cool watching the student nurses and remembering back to the days when I was one myself. It seems like so long ago but...it really wans't. It was only last year. Time flies by way to fast and I cannot believe that I have been a working LPN for 1 full month. Amazing.

Well, that's really all I gotta say. nothing new going on in my life. Y'all have a great Monday!

God Bless,

Christine
